No website?

AI can’t recommend what it can’t find.

Old website?

AI can’t recommend what it can’t read.

Two Businesses. One Difference.

How We Build

Built into the foundation, not bolted on.

Whether you’re starting from scratch or starting over, most websites add SEO as an afterthought. We build it as the ground floor, with AI visibility as the layer on top.

  • Structured so AI can read it, quote it, and recommend it
  • Technical SEO built to compound, not decorate

What does it cost to have a website built?

The price of a website is not set by the number of pages, but by four things: how many unique templates have to be designed, who writes the copy, what technology sits underneath, and how many integrations (payments, stock, CRM, multiple languages) are involved. Comparing quotes without levelling those four points means comparing assumptions, not prices. So ask every supplier for the same specification.

Which factors drive the price most?

The number of unique page types weighs more than the number of pages. Ten service pages built on one template cost far less than three pages that each get their own design. Content comes next: copy, photography and product data are often the item that delays a project and raises the cost, especially when none of it exists at the start. Technology is the third factor, and the fourth is everything that has to talk to an external system.

Type of project What is included When it fits What pushes the price up
Simple company site One template set, fixed pages, contact form You have no site yet and want to be findable Custom design per page, copywriting
Custom website with a search foundation Own design, technical SEO, structured data, measurable setup You get leads from search traffic and AI answers Multiple languages, many content types, migrating old URLs
Webshop or platform Catalogue, payments, stock, accounts You sell online or work with customer data ERP integrations, shipping rules, cleaning up product data

Why building cheaply gets expensive later

A site thrown together quickly usually costs twice: once to build and once to rebuild. The classic causes are a theme that makes every page identical, content that is only assembled by JavaScript, and a structure in which nothing can be reused. Those are exactly the points that block visibility later, as we describe in JavaScript SEO is now a GEO problem. Rebuilding is rarely cheaper than doing it right the first time.

Which requirements should appear in every quote?

Ask for performance and structure requirements, not just a design. In its Web Vitals documentation, Google names three thresholds for a good user experience: a Largest Contentful Paint within 2.5 seconds, an Interaction to Next Paint of 200 milliseconds or less, and a Cumulative Layout Shift of no more than 0.1. If those standards are absent from the quote, you are buying speed on trust. The same goes for structured data, server-side rendering and a redirect plan for your old URLs.

What does a website cost after launch?

Beyond the build price, count on recurring items: domain name, hosting, updates and security, plus the hours content and technology need to stay current. A site nobody maintains slowly loses positions and citations, because freshness and correct data are signals that keep counting. Visibility is therefore a separate budget, not part of the build invoice; what sets that budget is explained in what AI visibility costs.

How do you get a realistic price for your situation?

Start with an inventory of what you already have. Which pages draw traffic now, which texts are usable, which URLs have to keep existing, and what is missing technically? That list decides whether your project is a refresh or a rebuild. Our approach to website building starts with that analysis, and the free visibility analysis shows you within minutes which problems your current site would carry over to the new one.

What does a website cost by type, by technology and by payment model?

The price differs by project type and by payment model, but asking "what is the average?" rarely helps you, because two quotes with the same amount can cover completely different products. So fix the type first (simple business site, custom site, webshop), then the technology, and only then the way you pay: in one go or spread out.

What does it cost on average to have a website made?

An average says little, because the spread between a template site and a multilingual site with integrations is wider than the average itself. More useful is a range that fits your situation: the number of unique templates, who delivers the copy, and whether old URLs and data have to come along. Ask suppliers to quote the same scope, including hours for content and migration. Then you are comparing amounts that cover the same work.

What does a simple website cost?

A simple site is the cheapest option because one template set is designed and the pages reuse that set. The costs then sit mainly in the text and images, not in the build itself. Watch what "simple" excludes: usually no multilingual setup, no product catalogue, no connections to external systems. The moment you ask for those later, the project moves into a different category and a different budget.

What does a WordPress website cost?

WordPress rarely lowers the build price through the platform itself, since it is free, but through the volume of existing solutions around it. According to W3Techs, 40.2% of all websites run on WordPress, and 58.6% of all sites whose CMS is known. Your costs sit in the theme or custom design, premium plugins, licences and the maintenance those plugins demand. A custom site in WordPress therefore costs more than an off-the-shelf theme, and less than a fully bespoke system; we describe the differences on our page about WordPress websites.

What does a website cost on a subscription?

With a subscription you pay no build sum up front, but a fixed amount per month covering build, hosting, maintenance and usually a number of change hours. That spreads the cost, and over a term of several years the total is generally higher than buying outright. Two things decide whether it is sensible: the notice period and the ownership question. Check whether the domain, source code and data are yours and whether you can take them with you, and what happens to hosting and updates if you stop; that last part falls under our website maintenance and hosting.

Where can I get an affordable website built?

Affordable is a matter of scope, not of shopping around until the price is low enough. You bring the price down most effectively by supplying the text and imagery yourself, limiting the number of unique templates and building in phases: first the pages that produce revenue or leads, then the rest. A local supplier has a practical advantage here, because coordination is faster and fewer hours disappear into meetings. How we approach that is on our page about our online marketing agency in Haaksbergen.

What is changing about the price of a new website in 2026?

Build time for design and code is not the item that is rising; the requirements around it are. Accessibility is no longer optional for many services under the European Accessibility Act: the EU rules apply from 28 June 2025 to e-commerce, banking services and consumer services online, among others. That means extra work on contrast, keyboard operation, forms and error messages, work that costs more afterwards than up front. What it involves is set out on our page about web accessibility.

Why is a webshop more expensive than a business site with the same number of pages?

Because a webshop does not only display pages, it handles transactions. Payment methods, shipping rules, VAT settings, stock, returns and accounts are each a piece of logic that has to be built, tested and maintained. On top of that comes product data: cleaning up titles, variants, specifications and images often takes more hours than setting up the shop itself. What that means in practice is explained on our page about webshop development.
