AIO ClicksTracking and ConsentMode v2

Tracking and Consent Mode v2 make sure your website measures conversions correctly and lawfully: a consent banner that respects visitors' choices, Google's Consent Mode v2 passing those choices to Google's tags, and server-side and enhanced measurement where it adds value. Your ad platforms and reports then work with data you can trust.

Does this sound familiar?

Every automated bidding system learns from your conversion data. If that data is incomplete or unlawful, everything built on it is at risk.

  1. 01Your cookie banner loads tags before anyone has clicked accept.
  2. 02Since 2024, Google Ads shows warnings about consent signals or missing audiences.
  3. 03Conversions in Google Ads, Meta and Analytics all show different numbers.
  4. 04Nobody knows what is in your Google Tag Manager container any more.
  5. 05Ad blockers and browser restrictions mean you see fewer conversions than you get.
  6. 06You are not sure whether your setup would hold up if a regulator looked at it.

What we set up

We take care of the full measurement chain, from banner to ad platform.

01/ 05

01

Consent banner

A consent management platform configured for your countries, with clear choices and no tags firing before consent where it is required.

Basic or advanced consent mode

Consent Mode can block Google's tags entirely until consent, or let them send cookieless signals that Google uses for modelling. We explain the difference and set up the variant that fits your legal advice and risk appetite.

Documented, not magic

Every tag, trigger and conversion is documented, so your team, other agencies and auditors can see what is measured and why.

How it works

  1. Audit

Banner, tags, consent behaviour and conversion data compared across platforms.

  2. Plan

What to measure, where, under which consent.

  3. Implement

Banner, Consent Mode v2, tags and server-side components set up and tested.

  4. Verify

Consent behaviour and conversions checked in each platform.

  5. Monitor

Regular checks, so site changes do not quietly break tracking.

Frequently asked questions

Is Consent Mode v2 required?

For using Google's ad personalisation and measurement features with users in the European Economic Area, Google requires consent signals such as those sent by Consent Mode v2.

Does Consent Mode replace a cookie banner?

No. The banner asks for consent; Consent Mode passes the answer to Google's tags. You need both.

Is server-side tagging a way around consent?

No. It improves data quality and control, but consent rules apply just the same.

Do you give legal advice?

No. We implement what your privacy policy and legal adviser require, and explain the technical options.
